When the first iPhone came out, I did not like it. I was more of an android, HTC kind of girl. I did not the think iPhone was as good as everyone said it was. So for about 5 years, I stuck to android and really liked it.
As the years went on, the popularity of iPhones sky rocketed. Each generation of iPhone was different and faster. My mom was the first one to get an iPhone. She got the first iPhone and so did my dad. They both loved them. Seeing as I did not have one, I did not see what all the excitement was all about. About two years ago, my mom traded her old iPhone to the new iPhone 4s. She loved it. When it was my turn to get a new phone, I choose the HTC Vivid. I really liked the phone. My logic was that it could do anything that an iPhone could do, so in a way is was winning. Following my upgrade, my brother and sister got the iPhone 4s like my mom. At this point, everyone in my family, like my moms side of the family, had an iPhone except stubborn ole Nayeli.
Just recently, I dropped my HTC in water. I thought for sure it was gone and I wasn't going to get another phone. I put my phone in rice and left it there for two days. In the mean time I was using my sisters old phone, an HTC Aria. The phone would have been used perfectly, but my sister dropped it and the screen cracked. I thought "Well it's okay, it's only for two days." After two days I was able to go back to my phone, thankfully! Lent came around and I decided that I would not use my phone at the table because apparently that's a problem that I have. So I was like "Okay, forty days I can do this." But I guess that was not Gods plan at all. The first week of lent, the power button on my phone doesn't work anymore. I am unable to turn on my phone. Yuppie! So, I go back to the cracked screen phone.
With that phone I lasted about a good two months. I was no longer using my phone, like at all just to text and call. I was off of twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. I didn't not ask my mom for a new phone because then she says I'm nagging and when she ask me to do something I don't, so I tried to avoid that whole argument. It took her a while but she finally realized I needed a phone. It's funny how all this happened, I couldn't stand the phone I had and she realized i needed a phone all on her own. Last Sunday, we were able to get me a new phone, and I decided to try the iPhone. So far, I love it! Now I know why everyone likes the iPhone!
